Air Jordan 6 will always hold a special place in the heart of all airjordanheads out there and MJ himself because it's the shoe he was wearing when he won his first NBA championship ring.
On June 12, 1991, Mike proved the hype surrounding him was real as he led the Chicago Bulls to their first NBA Championship.
That was the start of an eight year period in which he won six rings with the Bulls, six Finals MVPs, four Leagues MVPs, and six scoring titles, a well as making six All-Star game appearance and earning two All-Star MVPs. Oh, and he didn't play for a year and half that time too. It was amazing stuff.
For the '91 postseason, Mike wore the Air Jordan 6 "Infrared". Featuring visible air cushioning, a translucent rubber outsole, and an inner sleeve for fit and support, the AJ 6 will always be remembered as the sneaker Mike captured his first championship in.
